Reading with a Dog

The library will be hosting a Reading with a Dog event on Thursday, Dec. 9, at 6pm. Please bring your children to join Samantha, the Police Social Work Intern with the Greenville Police Department, to read a book with therapy dogs. Samantha will be reading a book and engaging in fun activities focusing on anti-bullying.

100th Anniversary Open House!

Join us throughout the day on Friday, October 22 as we celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Library. If you haven't been in the library in a while, check out the changes the years have brought. We'll have a display on the history of the Library. Fill out a card to share your favorite memories of libraries. Help us judge the bookmark design contest. The Friends of the Library will be providing refreshments.

Bookmark Contest

For our 100th anniversary, we want you to design a bookmark for the Library. This contest will be judged in four age categories, Preschool, Elementary, Teen, and Adult. Entries are due by October 19 at their respective circulation desk. Judging will be by the public during our open house on October 22. The winners of each category will have their bookmark design printed and made available to library patrons.

Trivia Night!

Gather some friends on Wednesday, September 29 at 6:30pm in the Baughman Community Room to challenge them to a trivia night. With Jackbox Games, we'll be streaming the game live. You join with your own device (cellphone, tablet, etc.) to answer the questions. Up to eight players can participate at a time. Audience members can join in, as well, to affect the outcome of the game.
