Hotspot Lending

The library has been able to procure 50 mobile hotspots for lending to our patrons though the Federal Communication Commission (FCC)'s Emergency Connectivity Fund. These hotspots are intended for use by our patrons who lack sufficient internet at home to meet their educational needs. Patrons will have to sign a statement to that effect when they check out a hotspot.

The hotspots can be checked out for 28-days. Further renewal will depend on the demand for devices. Data plans are through T-Mobile cellular service, which may not work everywhere. Patrons in good standing will be able to check out hotspots beginning November 2. Patrons will be asked to show ID to participate in this new program.
