Two Open Positions

The Greenville Area Public Library currently has two part time positions open.

Youth Services Specialist: Birth to Kindergarten

Responsible for all programming for children from birth to kindergarten, you will plan and stage continuing and special programs, including the Collaborative Summer Library Program. You’ll also be in charge of promoting programs through outreach to our local schools, in-person, and with social or other media. You’ll maintain records for these programs and supervise program volunteers. As our patrons are the most important part of our library, you will also work with others on staff to assist patrons at the circulation desks, in the stacks, and on the phone.

Education, Experience & Training

·College degree or Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential preferred; Library Science degree highly desirable

·Experience providing programming to children required

·Computer experience required

Compensation

·Starting pay is $18-20/hour depending on qualifications

·Paid time off

·Eleven paid holidays

Other Considerations

·Position is 20 hours a week

·Work week is Tuesday to Saturday

·One Evening & Saturday hours are required

·Must have or be able to obtain FBI Fingerprint Clearance, PA Criminal Record Check and PA Child Abuse History Clearance
