July Announcements
Summer is in full-swing here at the library! We have a number of great programs coming up, so be sure to scroll down to see everything we have planned.
One program in particular I would like to highlight is a talk by local Dan Waters about the legend of the Princess Boat in the Pymatuning swamp on Wednesday, July 10. I hope you'll be able to make it to learn more about some local lore!
Another program note, Yoga with Molly on Tuesdays and Thursdays is going to be on hold for July.
Don't forget to sign up for our Beanstack Adult Summer Reading Challenge. Complete as many activities as you can to earn tickets for prize drawings. You get a ticket just for registering, getting a bingo, or completing all of the activities.
The prizes are a $50 gas card, a $50 gift card to Leana's Books & More, and a $50 gift card to Carried Away Outfitters, so you can take on more adventures. You get to chose which drawings you enter.
The next time you're in the library, check out the Summer Reading t-shirts from years past that are on sale. Selection and sizes are limited; check the list next to the hanging shirts for availability. When you know what you want, tell us at the desk. Shirts are on sale for $5 each and the proceeds go towards summer reading.
We continue with our summer hours in July:
Tuesday, Wednesay, and Thursday 9am-8pm
Friday 9am-4:30pm
Saturday 9am-1:30pm
We will be closed for Independence Day on July 4 and on July 13 for Heritage Days celebrations. The Board of Directors will meet on July 16 at 6pm.
Lastly, we are accepting applications for a full-time Children's Programming Librarian. You can read about the job and see the full description on our website. If you know of anyone who would be qualified, please share this with them.
I hope to see you soon!
Jeanne Ball, Director
