April Announcements

We're excited and hopeful for the April 8 solar eclipse! As I write this, the long-range forecast is calling for mostly sunny, so I hope we'll have clear enough skies to really experience this special event! We have solar eclipse glasses available on a first-come-first-serve basis. Please be careful when viewing the eclipse. NASA offers some excellent tips for viewing eclipses safely.

Income tax returns are due April 15. We have a few of the 1040 & 1040SR federal tax forms and instruction booklets available near the library entrance. You can also print tax forms, but but the 25¢ per page printing cost applies.

April is National Poetry Month and we're bringing back a Beanstack challenge. Follow the prompts to write a different type of poem for each letter of the alphabet in the month of April! Work in any order you'd like. Some poems are more complicated than others. Anyone who completes the challenge wins a journal. This is open to poets of any age, so challenge your friends and family to write along with you!
