December News

The seasonal weather finally showed up over the weekend, welcoming December with some cold and snow flakes. While we have a few more weeks of shortening days, we can keep you stocked up on with entertainment and learning! It's a perfect time to stop in and find something to read or watch. We have Christmas books on display on the table in the Fiction department, so if you're looking to get in the spirit, that's a great place to start.

We front-loaded the programs this month to leave lots of room for your holiday activities. Check out our Craft Week, starting December 10 with card making and closing out on the 14th with our Crafternoon ornament tree.

Today is Giving Tuesday, a day after the kickoff of the holiday shopping season to take a moment to support the non-profit organizations in your community. Through the Support tab of our website, you can see how you can give, volunteer, and advocate for our library.

The way the holidays fall this year means our hours will be a little odd for the last week or so of December. We will be open 9am-Noon on Christmas Eve, closed for Christmas and Boxing Day (the 26th), then open Friday and Saturday, open 9am-Noon on New Year's Eve, and closed on New Year's Day.

I hope to see you soon!
