The Library will be closed July 2 in celebration of Independence Day. We will be open this year during Heritage Days, so stop by to see our July display of model cars and replicas of local gas stations.

PA/OH Gives is a program of the Community Foundation of Western PA & Eastern Ohio that matches your donations up to a certain percent (based on total donations). Our fundraising goal is $5,000 but if you want to blow that goal out of water we'd be more than fine with that!

You can give online starting Saturday, June 18. All donations received by midnight Friday, June 24 count towards the match.

Adults can dive into summer reading through our Beanstack app. Track the books you read in June and July and enter for a chance to win prizes.

This year the prizes are a $50 gift card to Nova Destinations (must be 21 or older to win), a $50 gas card, and two tickets to an 1 1/2 hour day sail on a tall ship at Tall Ships Erie on Sunday, August 28. The day sail ticket also includes a day pass to the event and deck tour passes.

Learn a new skill this summer!

A beginning American Sign Language class will be offered on seven Saturdays starting June 25 through August 13 (no class on July 2). The course is open to all ages. Please register to attend!

Work on our building from a 2020 Keystone Grant is finally beginning. Weather permitting, roof work will start Monday, May 2nd…

The posters will be on display in the David E. Baughman Community Room beginning May 19 at 6pm with a opening session. The posters will be available to view for a week afterwards.

Lovecraftian Games

We will be playing games inspired by the works of HP Lovecraft. Things might get a little weird, but the eldritch horrors are all in your imagination. Probably.

Since folks were asking about having more sewing classes, we're going to be offering our Learn to Sew sessions again starting April 13. We are changing the day and time in the hopes that different people will be able to attend. So, if you missed a session or want to start at the beginning, please sign up.

Carcassonne

Join us on Saturday, March 19 at 2pm for Game Day! Inspired by the medieval fortress in southern France of the same name, Carcassonne is a tile-laying game in which players fill in the countryside around the fortified city.

Get in the St. Patrick's Day Spirit

Come out to hear local harpist, Alissa Pesavento, perform traditional Irish songs on the harp on March 15 at 6:30pm.

On Tuesday, February 8 and Tuesday, February 22 at 6pm, we will be holding a Learn to Sew class. Learn with a small group, step by step. Go to Program: Registration to register.
