Make It: Batik Fabric

  • Greenville Area Public Library 330 Main Street Greenville, PA 16125 United States (map)

Batik is a traditional method of wax-resist dyeing of fabrics. This means you use wax made of a mix of beeswax and parrafin wax to draw or paint a pattern on the fabric. Wherever the wax is, the dye will not color the fabric.

This program will have limited attendance. Please keep in mind that we will be using wax and fabric dye, so dress accordingly.
